Small Business Saturday
Visit the Strip District on Small Business Saturday to show your support for independent business. Bring the whole family and enjoy shopping in the Strip District together. You’ll find something for everyone on your list in the Strip this holiday season and we’ve created this shopping guide to help you #shopsmall.
Start Early. Start Right.
Plan to start early with a great breakfast from one of your favorite Strip District restaurants. Have a classic hearty breakfast from Pamela’s, DeLuca’s, Kelly O’s, or Cafe Raymond. All of them are open by 8:30 am which is a great time to find your parking place and plan your route.
Small Business Saturday Shopping Map
Use our Small Business Saturday shopping map to find all of the businesses listed below and plan your trip to the Strip. Don’t just stop at the stores we listed either, there are tons of great gifts in the Strip and we couldn’t possibly list them all so come down and explore.
For the kids start by picking up their favorite classic candies, fun and different flavors of familiar treats, and of course, something new and exciting at Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop. Just walking into Grandpa Joe’s will make you feel like a kid again! For the adults visit Mon Aimee Chocolat for rich and indulgent chocolates and international sweets you can’t find anywhere else. Remember, there’s also no shame in shopping for yourself. Mom and dad deserve a smile on Christmas morning after spending half the night wrapping gifts and wondering if those four extra screws were really that important. Of course you already know that the Strip is the place to get tangerines and oranges but did you know that these classic holiday treats represent the gold that Saint Nicholas was said to have dropped into stockings? Pick up a bag of oranges or a few loose tangerines from Penn Mac, Wholey’s, or one of the Strip’s many produce stands.

Remember Those in Need
It’s easy to get distracted during the holidays and to forget that this time of year can be incredibly difficult for many. The Strip is home to several charitable and health service organizations. Homeless Children’s Fund helps ensure that kids facing homelessness don’t fall behind their peers. Our Clubhouse (formerly Gilda’s Club) helps those dealing with cancer and their loved ones. The Midwife Center offers midwife and other health and wellness services and cares for many low income women and their families. The Three Rivers Mothers Milk Bank collects, stores, and distributes breast milk donations to fulfill their mission of helping preemies. However, in addition to milk donations, they also need financial contributions in order to operate. Donate today to any of these worthy causes and make the holidays brighter for your community.
